SILVER CITY-- St. Patrick’s Day will be celebrated at Western New Mexico University with free Irish coffee and fresh-baked soda bread in the Multicultural Affairs/Student Activities Office from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, March 17. During this celebration MASA office will be playing Irish music.
The soda bread will be prepared by Caryn Kinane-Setaro and Mike Setaro. The soda bread recipe has been handed down from Kinane-Setaro’s grandmother, Mary Kinane, who is a native of Ireland.
The bagpipes will be played by WNMU Professor Emeritus Jack Cunningham at 9 a.m. in the MASA office.
The public as well as students are encouraged to participate by wearing green and experiencing the ‘Luck of the Irish’ in the MASA office.
