My name is Cleophas Tanui. I received a diploma in teaching from Kamwenja Teaching Training College from Nyeri, Kenya, and a B.A. in Political Science from the Abilene Christian University- Abilene, Texas. Following graduation I worked as a teacher for three years for 12-graders. I have worked in community Empowerment and Capacity Building, Youth Organizations as the coordinator, and Treasurer to Parents-Teachers Association. In 2005, I participated in dissemination of Kenya Constitutional Review for a Referendum. I have received several Awards and Trophies including All America in Track and Field -10k in 2008 and 2010 respectively, and also in Regional and Conferences awards from 2008 to 2011.
I am pursuing my masters in social work hoping to complete in May 2015 and go to Law school. I am passionate and committed to Excellency in accomplishing set goals and meeting specifies standards. I love playing pool, running, traveling, hiking and reading legal thrills books and doing community services. Values I admire most are working hard, honesty, and perseverance. I am currently in the Honors club as a researcher assistant and working as Graduate Assistant in Social Sciences Department.
