![]() The Grant County Chicano Music Project was organized by a group of Chicano music enthusiasts for the purpose of documenting the history of Grant County Chicano musicians and producing a video documentary, a photo and memorabilia exhibit and a music CD. The production of the documentary and the music CD will be funded by a Carl Perkins Grant in the School of Applied Technology. Filming of musicians began in March and will continue until May of 2013. Other plans for the project include a songwriting contest for the theme song of the documentary, and a music festival to showcase all the musicians from the post World War II era to the present. |
