Legislative Platform for 2005

Capital Outlay Requests

  1. Capital outlay request of $141,048 (one hundred and forty-one thousand and forty-eight dollars) for Western New Mexico University Campus Silver City Expressive Arts Department.  The allotted monies will be used for additional equipment purchases.

  2. Capital outlay request of $90,000 (ninety thousand dollars) for Western New             Mexico University Campus Silver City Natural Sciences Department.  The allotted monies will be used to purchase a Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer.

Legislative Priorities

  1. Support of the Associated Students of New Mexico “2005 Legislative Platform” which includes Lottery Success Scholarship issues as well as campus safety initiatives for all universities in New Mexico.
  1. Support for all legislation that positively affects Western New Mexico University as a whole as well as its faculty and staff.
