 Scholarships
Welcome to the WNMU Scholarship Information pages. Students are to complete
a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) each academic year.
Initial Eligibility: Click on the Scholarship Listing
link above (currently scholarships have individual links) to review scholarship
requirements and amounts.
Continuing Eligibility: Continuing eligibility is determined
by the student maintaining satisfactory academic progress (3.0 grade point
average) and completion of 100% of all classes attempted while on any
scholarship award program.
Duration of Eligibility: The initial scholarship begins
with the first term of the award. Thereafter, each scholarship is for
a period of one academic year (subject to continuing eligibility requirements
and fund availability). Recipients must re-apply each year
prior to March 31st. Awarding begins April 1st each year.
You should know:
- Academic Scholarships are not automatically renewed; you
must reapply each year.
- All state funded scholarships require a completed FAFSA before funds
can be paid to student.
- If you are a beginning freshman you must complete and “Early
Scholarship Form”. The ACT Test score must be verified by your
high school counselor. You must also complete an Admissions
Application. You will not be considered for academic scholarships
without this information.
- To apply for private scholarships within this list please contact
the listed agency for application information.
- In order to receive a lottery scholarship, a student must have completed
FAFSA by the 12th week of the semester.
Note: Scholarship information and listings are
provided to the Financial Aid Office by private organizations and state
agencies.
