Symantec Client Security (newest) or Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition

Am I a Managed Client?

 

 

Step 1
Go to your start menu then to the programs menu.
Next find "Symantec Client Security" Select Symantec Antivirus Client

(Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition select Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition and then Norton Antivirus)



Step 2

This screen will appear.
Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition client will see a similar screen.



Step 3

If you see the Parent Server name and the liveupdate button is greyed out then you are a managed client. If the date in the virus definition file is older than one week you will need to restart your machine to see if it fixes the issue. If a restart does not fix the issue then please contact the help desk as suggested in step 4.
