The Information Technology
Professional Development Program provides training in software applications,
customer service, job skills, and personal development for all WNMU faculty,
staff, and student employees.
Through effective needs analysis the Professional Development
Program determines if suggested issues are a result of a lack of training.
If a lack of training is determined, implementation of a course to fulfill
the gap is created and provided.
In the instance that WNMU purchases
new technology affecting end users, the Professional Development Program provides
training sessions. These sessions equip WNMU staff, faculty, and student employees
with the needed information to utilize the new technology.
To encourage and support all
WNMU faculty, staff, and student employees in the workplace, the Professional
Development Program provides supplemental courses. These courses include professional
etiquette, customer service, and personal development.
The
Information Technology Professional Development Program does not determine
or create policies in relation to the use of any software application that
WNMU chooses to implement. In addition, the Professional Development Department
does not announce WNMU procedures and/or policies related to a training subject
unless the procedures and/or policies are documented. Any issues that are
outside of the Professional Development guidelines such as choice of software,
WNMU policies, etc. will be re-directed.
