SITE POLICY

The Webmaster in accord with WNMU policies and procedures must be responsible for the information, image, technical content, design and policies of WNMU's World Wide Web (WWW) usage. In keeping with these requirements, we set forth this policy statement.

We appeal to the common sense of our users, and therefore set forth the minimum set of regulations intended to guide the preparer of Web pages. Web pages will be reviewed by the Webmaster to ensure compatibility with these guidelines before installation on the Webserver. Availability of a page through this server does not, in any way, imply that the institution or Webmaster agrees with its contents. As everyone knows the Web is a massive network of connections, you can get to any other site beginning at any link.

The Webmaster reserves the right to revoke pages, especially if the contents violate the spirit of these rules:

If, based on these rules or your own point of view, you feel that the contents of a page violates the integrity of the server, please contact the user responsible for the page (if possible) and if necessary the Webmaster.

It is commonly understood that advertising, publicity for non-educational purposes, indecent or denigrating links or those things not in keeping with the thematic goals of an educational institution will not be allowed on this site.

WNMU does not distribute any information, including email address, to any outside party. However, WNMU does provide an email lookup and directory, which are accessible to all internet users. All students and faculty are by default included in these listings, they may request the removal of their information from one or both of these lists by sending an email to the WNMU Webmaster at web@liblx.wnmu.edu. The email lookup and directory are provided for the use of the students and faculty and are not intended for, nor should they be used for, commercial purposes. WNMU may occasionally collect statistical data about users who access our site, such information will be for internal use only. All information is considered confidential. However, information that is stored on any of the WNMU webservers or email servers should NOT be considered private. All information on WNMU computers is considered to be the property of WNMU, not that of the user. Although WNMU does its best to secure these servers, WNMU is not responsible for any offences against users due to stolen information.
