Western New Mexico University is accepting applications for part-time Adjunct faculty for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009, in the following departments:
ELECTRICAL INSTRUCTORS with Electrical Journeyman Licensure to teach residential electrical courses. . Instructor will be provided with National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training certification
WELDING INSTRUCTORS with experience in the welding field to teach welding classes. Instructor will be provided with National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training certification.
COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTORS with a minimum of one year experience in industry. Certification required in the area interested in, certifications offered are; A+, Linux+, CCNA, Security+, Server+, HTI, Converged Networks, Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Professional, Windows Network Infrastructure.
These positions responsibility includes: assist in advising, program planning, curriculum development, and the ongoing maintenance of the Programs, maintenance of equipment and inventory, assist with advisory committees, assessment, university service, community service and advisement of student organizations.
Preferred classroom experience but not required. Preferred Bachelor’s degree but not required. There will be a mandatory 3 to 4 day classroom teaching training available prior to classes beginning.
