DEMING – MIMBRES VALLEY LEARNING CENTER

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under limited supervision, manages, supervises, and evaluates daily operations of a satellite distance education site of Western New Mexico University. This full-time position plans, prepares and organizes course schedule to ensure provision of sufficient classes and course mixes to meet educational needs of local community; counsels students regarding course selection for achievement of specific educational goals; acts as primary liaison between the satellite campus and local community for timely and complete communication and understanding of programs and services; coordinates the use of ITV and WEBCT to deliver courses at a distance; supervises all necessary admission, registration and financial aid assistance to students; other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience equivalent to three to four years full time supervisory experience with budgeting responsibilities desirable. Bachelor’s degree or closely related Associate's degree required. Education can substitute for work experience on a year for year basis. Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in Spanish, experience with diverse groups preferred. Knowledge of and familiarity with local business, educational, governmental, and religious figures and organizations preferred.

SALARY: $28,000 Annually
