ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ACCOUNTING

The School of Business Administration and Economics seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in accounting beginning Fall 2010. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, such as tax (individual and corporate), auditing, cost, accounting information systems, intermediate, and advanced accounting. Other areas of responsibilities include advising, participating in scholarly activities, and service to the department and the university. Applicants must have the ability and willingness to adapt courses to current technology applicable to the discipline and teach online and/or televised courses. During the interview candidates will make a thirty (30) minute class presentation on a topic selected by the search committee. Salary: $82,151 - $89,416 DOE

Preference will be given to candidates with a doctorate in accounting. Accounting ABD’s nearing completion and applicants who have an Masters in Business and hold a current CPA certificate will be considered. All candidates must demonstrate teaching effectiveness. Successful interaction with diverse groups and proficiency in Spanish are preferred. Position is open until filled with preference given to applications received by Nov. 1, 2009.
