The Department of Expressive Arts is launching its new Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Interdisciplinary Arts (IEA) and seeks a creative and innovative pro-active candidate with expertise in digital media production, professional experience with industry standard digital media tools, which include digital film/video production, soundtrack (video, film, animation) working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro plus web & graphic design skills. The IEA degree includes music, theater and visual arts; therefore, a broad strength in these areas or specialty in one of the areas is desirable. Successful interaction with diverse groups and knowledge of the Spanish language is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Under the direction of the Department chair, responsibilities include teaching 3-4 courses per semester for a total of 12 credit hours per semester (see above-cited areas) with duties in academic student advising, academic service, which includes faculty committee participation, curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, student recruitment into your field, and University & community service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) with demonstrated teaching experience in higher education and/or digital media industry related experience; record of interdisciplinary practices preferred.
SALARY RANGE: $43,972 – $45, 561
