Compass Test | Asset Test

The ASSET test is exactly like the Compass Test, but it is in written form. The test is designed to determine the skill level in one or more basic academic areas: Reading, Writing/English and/or Mathematics. There is no charge for the test, however, the test is only given at 9:00 a.m. and again at 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Western New Mexico University considers appropriate course placement to be essential to success in all academic areas. Thus, in order to assist students and advisors in selecting the best courses, the ASSET test has been implemented.
