Orientation Leaders What skills and qualifications do I need to become an Orientation Leader? · Good communication and motivation skills · Desire to connect with people with a variety of personalities and backgrounds · Energetic, outgoing and have clear attention to detail · Must be in good academic standing (GPA 2.5 and higher) · Must live on campus during the Orientation dates · Completion of the online application, interview process and training camp · Knowledge of and commitment to the mission and goals of the OL program · Completion of two full semesters at WNMU How do I apply to be an OL? To apply, please fill out the online application and submit 2 letters of reference to the Public Information Office. Compensation and Benefits: Orientation Leaders will gain a significant amount of leadership experience, develop professional relationships with staff, faculty, students and parents and will learn to work with a diverse population. OL’s will also receive a room in the residence halls from June 1st-Aug 18th and a monthly compensation of $250.00 (June ‘12-May ’13). Important Dates Training and orientation dates are mandatory for all OL’s to attend and be on campus.
