CELLULAR PHONES POLICY
Two cellular phones are available in the Business Office to be checked out when traveling in a university vehicle. These phones are to be used in an emergency ONLY. Any employee using the phone for any call not related to an emergency will not be allowed to use a cellular phone in the future and must reimburse the university for the charge of the call(s).
On Call Departments
Cellular phones issued to “on call” or other departments are to be used solely for university business. Any employee found using cellular phones for any purpose not related to Western New Mexico University will not be able to use a cellular phone in the future and must reimburse the university for the charge of the call(s).
- Pick up phone from Business Office.
- Take trip.
- Turn phone into Business Office on day of return or next business day if returning on a weekend.
- Report any emergency to the Business Office. Calls made on cellular phone must be documented as to daytime number called. This information is to be turned into the Business Office for reconciliation to phone bill.
- Any calls found on monthly bills that have not been reported to Business Office will be charged to Department to whom phone was issued.
