PAYROLL POLICY

Exempt Staff

Exempt staff has the option to be paid once or twice a month. If the once a month option is chosen, the employee payday will be the last working day of each month. If the twice a month option is chosen the employees payday will be the 15th and the last working day of each month. The pay option is to be selected when each employee signs his or her annual contract and cannot be changed during the fiscal year.

Non-Exempt Staff

Non-exempt staff are paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Time sheets are to be submitted according to an annually published schedule and are used to calculate bi-weekly pay amounts. If no time sheet is submitted by the published deadline, employees will be paid for 40 hours per week at their contacted hourly rate. No overtime will be paid until a time sheet is submitted. If employees are paid for hours they are not entitled to due to the lack of a time sheet, the appropriate deduction will be taken on the next paycheck.

Faculty

Faculty may choose to be paid once or twice a month and in 10, 18, 13, or 24 payments according to the attached schedule.
