MISSION
Del Agua Institute is a non-political
organization (tax-exempt 501(c)3 Status) existing to carry out
the following specific objectives and purposes:
- To engage in, encourage, or sponsor
scientific research related to the supply, conservation
and quality of surface and ground water in New Mexico
- To provide education and disseminate
information to the general public and earth science
professionals through publications, seminars,
conferences, public meetings and presentations
- To provide a forum where community
members, private enterprises, academic and governmental
representatives and other members of the concerned public
may meet to formulate solutions and implement strategies
to monitor, protect and sustainably develop New
Mexicos surface and ground water
- To provide education to governmental
representatives and to attempt to aid local municipal,
county, state and federal agencies in sustainably
developing and managing New Mexicos surface and
ground water
ACTIVE PROJECTS
Del Agua Institute, with previous work in
Sandoval, Bernalillo and Santa Fe Counties, is seeking contacts
and projects in the southwestern part of New Mexico and offers
the following:
- Regional and local water resource
evaluations
- Water rights consultations
- Water quality evaluations
- Well evaluations

MISSION
The purpose of the Deming Soil and Water
Conservation District is to provide leadership in conservation of
water and all natural resources in order to preserve the cultural
heritage and tax base for future generations.
ACTIVE PROJECTS
The Deming Soil and Water Conservation
District is:
- Working in cooperation with Luna
County to administer Farm and Ranch Improvement Funds to
cost-share conservation practices on rangeland in Luna
County,
- Taking leadership in the development
of a voluntary noxious weed control program for the
county, and
- Seeking funding to implement a drip
irrigation demonstration project to evaluate and possibly
promote the use of drip irrigation technology on urban
turf area such as yards and parks.
