Lake Roberts

This man-made 72 acre lake, located in the Gila National Forest offers fine trout fishing, boating, and camping. There are two campgrounds and numerous trails leading into the forest. A special nature trail and self-interpretive Mimbres Indian site is there for your examination.

Other lakes in the area include Bill Evans Lake, Snow Lake, Wall Lake, Bear Canyon Dam, and 360 miles of sparkling clean mountain streams and rivers. Trout are regularly stocked in the mountain lakes and streams. Bass and catfish abound in the lower areas. Located 27 miles north of Silver City on NM15.
