Brachymenium klotzschii (Schwägr.) Paris

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Brachymenium macrocarpum Cardot
Bryum klotzschii (Schwägr.) Mitt.
Didymodon klotzschii Schwägr.

Brachymenium klotzschii differs from B. mexicanum in having a limbidium of elongate cells. It also has dark rhizoidal tubers growing in clusters that aren't found on B. mexicanum. The leaves on Brachymenium klotzschii are strongly spirally twisted. B. klotzschii is usually found on tree trunks while B. mexicanum is found on rocks.
