Coleosanthus betonicifolius (Gray) Kuntze
Brickellia betonicifolia is rather easily recognized by its thick, relatively large opposite leaves attached with almost no pedicel to the stem. It is a perennial herb with several stems from the base. The leaves are pubescent on both sides and gland dotted. There are 10-16 florets per flowerhead. Brickellia betonicifolia is found on hillsides at middle elevation.
