Eremocarya micrantha is easily recognized by its diminutive appearance and by the
red dye that leaks from the roots when crushed. The foliage is sparse, giving the
appearance of small scorpioid cymes at the end of nearly bare stems. This species
is found in the desert low areas of the Gila National Forest.
