Erodium texanum is our apparently native species of the genus Erodium. The stems are reddish. It differs from Erodium cicutarium mainly in the size and shape of the leaf. The leaf is about as long as wide and gently lobed. The leaf color is deep green with prominent red veins. The fruit is a long schizocarp similar to that of Erodium cicutarium but a bit longer.
