Synonyms:
Epicampes stricta Presl

Muhlenbergia longiligula is a large tussock-forming species, similar to similar to M. rigens, M. dubia, and M. metcalfei. Muhlenbergia longiligula can distinguished from these others by the presence of a long ligule, 6-20mm. In addition, the glumes are over 75% of the length of the floret.
