Oenothera neomexicana (Small) Munz

Synonyms:
Anogra neomexicana Small

Oenothera neomexicana grows with a stem to about 50cm tall. The fruit is an upright, slightly curved and rather elongate capsule. The stigma has 4 lobes and is longer than the stamens. The four petals are white. The leaves are several centimeters long and curving to toothed. We found Oenothera neomexicana at middle elevation in mixed conifer forest alongside a seasonal creekbed.
