Paraleucobryum enerve (Thedenius) Loeske

Family: Dicranaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Dicranum enerve Thedenius

Paraleucobryum enerve is remarkable for both the costal anatomy, with hyaline and chlorophyllose cells intermingling in the costa, as well as for the width of the costa that can be nearly the entire width of the leaf. The costa of Paraleucobryum longifolium is not as wide, although the costal anatomy is similar. The apex of P. enerve is not serrate as it is in P. longifolium. The leaves of P. longifolium are much more circinate than those of P. enerve, and the leaf color of P. enerve is more yellowish.
