Penstemon ambiguus Torrey var. thurberi (Torrey) Gray

Penstemon thurberi is weedy or brushy in appearance with weak stems that are decumbent. The leaves are filiform. The corolla lobes are only slightly irregular and are pink. Penstemon thurberi is found at lower elevations on the roadside.
