Porella cordaeana (also spelled P. cordeana) is a complicate bilobed liverwort. The ventral lobe is less than 1/2 as wide as the wide spaced underleaves. Both the underleaf and the ventral lobe are long decurrent. The ventral lobe is lanceolate rather than rounded as in P. platyphylla. We found P. cordaeana at El Malpais National Monument.
