(cursed Buttercup)

Synonyms:
Ranunculus eremogenes Greene

Ranunculus sceleratus var. multifidus is a taller herb, reaching about 24 inches tall, found in drainage ditches at middle elevation. The petals are yellow and the central cone is green. The upper leaves are narrowly lanceolate to oblanceolate. The basal leaves are quite different, especially in smaller plants in which they are deeply lobed.
