Urtica dioica Linnaeus subsp. gracilis (Aiton) Selander
Urtica gracilis has lanceolate leaves which are green on top. It is found along streambeds in the more northern part of the Gila National Forest. Its stems sting hikers as they move through dense stands of these plants.
